This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. It does not load anything from other companies' servers: even the typeface is hosted on our own server. We do not build profiles of visitors.

2. Visiting this website
When you open a page, your browser necessarily sends technical data to our server, in particular your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and your browser's identification. This is needed to deliver the page and to keep the server secure (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in providing a working, secure website). Our web server is configured not to keep access logs, so this data is not stored after the page has been delivered.
The website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, on servers in Germany. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Hetzner in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
3. Contacting us by email
If you write to us, we use your email address and the content of your message only to answer you (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). We delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed, unless we are legally required to keep it.
4. Cookies and local storage
We do not set cookies and do not store anything on your device. The small script on the home page only takes you to the port you choose.
5. Data about ships and the news
The ship positions we show are public radio signals (AIS) broadcast by vessels; they identify ships, not passengers. Press headlines are quoted from publicly available news websites.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). To exercise them, write to the email address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority responsible for us: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
7. Changes
We will update this policy if the website changes, for example if we ever add analytics or advertising.
